Our Work
Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Chad, IOM provides a comprehensive response to the humanitarian needs of migrants, internally displaced persons, returnees and host communities.

The health promotion programme area of MHD caters its strategy and activities to the needs of migrant populations and the changing requirements of Member States to address the health of migrants. In Chad, IOM works with a range of partners to increase migrants' access to information and services related to healthcare such as vaccination agains COVID-19.
Furthermore, IOM participates with a range of actors and carries our various activities to assist the Government in addressing migration- and mobility-related health challenges by strengthening the national health systems and ensuring that migrants have equitable access to health services.
